What community ?

What community do we go with ?
That was the question plaguing my mind for the whole week.

I tried thinking up a problem and then working backwards to what community it would affect the most...DEAD END

I then tried thinking about what community would best effect change pertaining to its issues.
Ade, Aaron and I sat together and compared the teaching community(general tutors) and the Students Union.

We finally went with the students union because they would be able to effect more change concerning the university and the students.

NEXT STEP - Making contact
First impressions last the longest so we had to get it right first time. I went along to the union and had a brief positive chat with Lisa Hough. We followed this up with a one-page proposal. We should be hearing back from them soon.

I see the process as:
Community - Problem(climate issues) - Meetings(discusstions) - Solutions(Creative designs) - Events.
That's a mini summary of the flow it should take. We have to make sure the community is in charge the whole way through and they understand it's all for them.

We started jumping ahead of ourselves with designs, problems and solutions which were all ideal but invalid for the moment because they had not been given to us by the community.

Hold your horses!! Phil said. "You can have these ideas but at the least communicate it to the community and get thier feedback before moving on.

So now we patiently wait!!
